Modulating Landscapes Series
Modulating Landscapes series aims to use space and place to create something new and of that particular space and time, with DIY instruments and modular synths. Something unique that cannot be exactly replicated again live, imperfections are celebrated and encouraged. Incorporating and pulling inspiration from nature, evoking flow and creativity. All sounds are recorded on location. All audio and video content is recorded and compiled by TFAM.
Visual Works
An audio-visual collaboration between Timmy Stewart & The Fully Automatic Model. This new audio-visual collaborative experience between DJ/producer Timmy Stewart & multidisciplinary artist The Fully Automatic Model. It’s an exploration of the connection between sound and light waves, through generating realtime arrays of projected light structures that respond to the sounds and environment they inhabit.
The project blends Stewart’s rich heritage in underground electronic music with The Fully Automatic Model’s cutting-edge approach to realtime generative visual art, creating a multi-sensory, multi-layered journey, designed to give audiences a new way to excite their audio and visual senses. Video: Broken Film NI.
How can art be created in a city with increasingly limited physical spaces for art production and enjoyment? This is the challenge that The Fully Automatic Model aimed to address during his three-month residency at Art Arcadia Drawing heavily from the DIY / maker movement, architecture, physics, and the dynamic interplay between natural and built environments, The Fully Automatic Model’s visual installations juxtapose these realms and highlight the points where they converge.
The residency seeks to explore the relationships and perceptions of space and place by creating new contemporary visual pieces that will be designed for projection mapping onto buildings, objects and spaces of interest, using the locations in alternative and new ways.
A collaboration between National Gallery London and artist Turner Prize Willing Visual Artist Jeremy Deller, who commissioned TFAM to design and build a creative and interactive audio visual installation space at Derry’s Guildhall.
While curating the artists and building a number of the installations for the public to interact with and explore various artistic practices, the event was one of the most successful events of the entire project.
